1. Puppies
cost: $241 | 8 weeks
Getting your puppy into classes at the earliest age possible is your best bet for preventing behavioural problems down the road.

Puppies learn bite control (through play sessions and exercises), and learn to accept handling from family members and strangers (other class participants). Humans learn how dogs learn and how best to teach them new behaviours such as sit, stand, down, come when called, and walking politely on a leash. Humans also learn how to prevent and deal with common behaviour problems such as jumping up and digging and how to help your dog choose you over other exciting distractions.

Smart Dog Training has puppy classes on Saturdays and weeknights for puppies 9 to 18 weeks of age. Call and register BEFORE YOU GET YOUR puppy to ensure getting your puppy into classes as early as possible.

Drop-In Play (Puppy groups and small dog groups)

cost: $12 or 4 for $40 For Smart Dog Students

$15 or 4 for $50 NON Smart dog students

Safe and critical socialization/ play time every Saturday at 10:00am for puppies 9 weeks to 19 weeks. Controlled play sessions with other puppies, pass the puppy as well as learning to use play as a motivation and reward system! Please read the puppy socialization article from the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviour. Please bring proof of vaccinations for your first time!

2. Pet Dog Beginner
cost: $241 | 8 weeks
For dogs 19 weeks and older, this class focuses on how dogs learn and how best to help them master behaviours such as sit, down, stand, come, walking politely on a leash.

3. Urban Dog
cost: $241 | 8 weeks
For dogs who have successfully completed Puppy or Beginner Classes this class focuses on gradually increasing the time your dog can perform behaviours, and on increasing distractions that naturally occur for dogs in urban settings. Go to your mat, leave it and sit stay for greetings are also introduced.

4. Non-competitive Agility
cost: $125 | 6 weeks | MARCH-NOV (covered BARN)

5. Growly Dog
cost: $241 | 6 weeks
This six-week course is for dogs who have aggression issues with other dogs and is limited to 4 dogs at a time.

Consultations regarding aggression are $89 for the first visit with package rates available. Please note that with aggression issues we recommend three visit packages (or the option of the growly class).

As our class numbers are limited (max 10) if you choose to cancel your spot in the class we require 48 hours notice for a full refund, 24 hours for 50% refund. There will be no refunds given if cancelation happens within 24 hours or once the class starts.
