Services Offered: Classes~ Puppies ~
Smart Dog Training has puppy classes on Saturdays and weeknights for puppies 9 to 18 weeks of age. Call and register BEFORE YOU GET YOUR puppy to ensure getting your puppy into classes as early as possible. Drop-In Play (Puppy play and motivation games with owners) cost: $12 or 4 for $40 For Smart Dog Students $15 or 4 for $50 NON Smart dog students No Drop In play Sat Jan 14th Safe and critical socialization/ play time every Saturday at 10:00am for puppies 9 weeks to 19 weeks. Controlled play sessions with other puppies, pass the puppy, as well as learning to use play as a motivation and reward system for your puppy! Please read the puppy socialization article from the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviour. Please bring proof of 1st set of vaccinations for your first time!
~ Urban Dog ~ cost: $199 | 6 weeks ~ Urban Herding FUNdamentals ~ Cost $140| 6 weeks Calling all herding dogs! Trieball is a combo of herding, billards and soccer for dogs. It’s fun for any dog that loves to play chase games, to herd or just use their amazing, problem- solving abilities. Agility takes a lot of equipment. Trieball promotes the same kind of teamwork but is cheaper and easier! All you need is an exercise ball or two.
cost: $125 | 6 weeks | MARCH-NOV (covered BARN) Exercises your dog's brain and muscles and entertains all who come out! Smart Dog has the latest equipment and wants you and your dog to have a safe and fun time. Pre-agility and non-competitive programs for all types of dogs. ~ Agility FUNdamentals ~ cost: $140 | 6 weeks It may be cold outside, but you and your Smart Dog will love this opportunity to have some fun and get some exercise too! Agility FUNdamentals is an indoor pre-agility course where you will learn the basics for non-competitive agility. Just because it's cold outside does not mean you need to wait to start this fun and exciting activity with your Dog! ~ Growly Dog ~ Consultations regarding aggression are $89 for the first visit with package rates available. Please note that with aggression issues we recommend three visit packages (or the option of the growly class). ~ Cool and Useful Tricks ~ Cost: $135 | 4 weeks Want to teach your dog a new trick? Stay indoors and get your dog to retrieve the paper off the front step, present paws for wiping (in order) or close the cupboards! How about teaching your dog to appear to read? As our class numbers are limited (max 10) if you choose to cancel your spot in the class we require 48 hours notice for a full refund, 24 hours for 50% refund. There will be no refunds given if cancellation happens within 24 hours or once the class starts.

Puppies learn bite control (through play sessions and exercises), and learn to accept handling from family members and strangers (other class participants). Humans learn how dogs learn and how best to teach them new behaviours such as sit, stand, down, come when called, and walking politely on a leash. Humans also learn how to prevent and deal with common behaviour problems such as jumping up and digging and how to help your dog choose you over other exciting distractions.
